Song of these States

Song of these States is a single-movement work for large chorus, concert band, and narrator. Designed as a patriotic piece, the Song draws on texts from Thomas Paine, Philip Freneau, and Walt Whitman to draw a picture of a United States that is strong and united in its ongoing struggle for peace and justice for all people. This piece was commissioned by the city of Rockville, MD for their community band and chorus and was premiered under the baton of chorus director Bryan Seith.
