A Coptic Requiem

A Coptic Requiem is a three-movement work for SATB chorus. The three movements follow passages from Psalms in the Coptic language, the language of the first-century Egyptian church. The piece reflects the troubled history of the church in the first two movements, while the third prays for peace for those at rest.

This piece currently languishes in not-yet-premiered Limbo. Won’t your choir be the first to perform it? Coptic is a beautiful and eminently-singable language! Please contact me directly to ask more about getting the score.
