Fall, 2010 – Wolf Trap Foundation Grant. Awarded in conjunction with William C Evans, music director of Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, MD, to commission A Song for Peace for his Chamber Singers.

April 2, 2006 – Society of Composers, Inc. Region VII ConferenceLiebeschlag was performed by percussionist Scott Ney.

Fall/Spring 2005-2006 - American Composers Forum Community Engagement Award. Given for writing I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes for the Chamber Singers of Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, MD under the direction of William C. Evans.

November 2, 2005 – featured composer at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). Liebeschlag was performed by percussionist Douglas Nottingham.

2001-2003 – Composer-in-Residence at the Cathedral Center for the Arts in Phoenix, Arizona

May 2002 - Outstanding Graduate Student in Music History, Theory, and Composition. Given by Arizona State University at the ceremony awarding my M.M. degree.

1998 and 1999 - Special Achievement Award. Twice awarded to me by the Library of Congress for my work in the Music Division on behalf of the National Digital Library Program.

    Couch Surfers!

    Ongoing – I am writing music for a very different kind of project: the webseries Couch Surfers! Kind of a little bit of everything (even a Wagnerian forest moment in one episode) but mostly a lot of punk rock surf with guitar help from my friend Carleton Ingram. www.couchsurferstv.com

    Taffety Punk Theatre Company presented a new collaboration between myself and choreographer Micheline Heal featuring music for piano, cello, and live computer-generated sound. The new piece, Garden for Wayward Girls was on the finale concert for the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop’s three-week long modern dance event, “Dance Craze”.
